Director's Profile
Dato’ H’ng Choon Seng, a visionary leader with 40 years of experience in furniture and biomass industries, was appointed to our Board as Director on 25 November 2011. He was designated as our Managing Director on 28 May 2012 and on 25 November 2022, he was redesignated as our Executive Chairman. He co-founded HK Fibre Sdn Bhd in 2007 and established HK Kitaran Sdn Bhd in 2009 for oil palm EFB fibre, demonstrating his commitment to sustainability. His dedication to HHRG is seen through his exclusive directorship, playing a pivotal role in the company’s growth and development.
Ng Chin Nam, appointed as HHRG’s Executive Director in August 2021, brings over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, and corporate finance. With a CIMA qualification and expertise in finance departments of listed companies, he oversees HHRG’s accounting, finance, corporate exercises, and business development. As an Independent Non-Executive Director at Asia File Corporation Bhd, he reinforces his industry prowess, contributing to HHRG’s future success.
Mr. Cheah, HHRG’s Independent Non-Executive Director since August 2016, brings a wealth of experience and strong qualifications to the company. With a background in accounting, including as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and CPA Australia, Mr. Cheah’s diverse experience in corporate advisory, accounting, and management roles has been invaluable to HHRG’s growth and success.
Ms Wong, HHRG’s Independent Non-Executive Director, brings 22 years of legal experience. As an Advocate & Solicitor and managing partner of her own legal firm, she provides corporate legal services and has a strong track record in corporate and commercial law. With prestigious titles and roles in various organizations, Ms Wong’s expertise and dedication have been invaluable to HHRG’s board in guiding the company towards success.
Mr Guok, HHRG’s Independent Non-Executive Director. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 22 February 2001. He has been in active practice since the date of his admission to the High Court of Malaya. He has been involved in various high profile cases, acted as co-counsels alongside with many prominent lawyers in the country. Many of the cases are reported in the legal journals. Apart from this, Guok is well-versed in the securities laws in Malaysia. He is also well-versed in issues involving Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001, Company Act 2016, Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (including the repealed Securities Industries Act), Financial Services Act, Penal Code, judicial reviews, tort claims and contractual disputes among others. Besides that, he has been actively involved in giving advisory works for corporate clients and was involved in several corporate exercises. His corporate clients included entitles from foreign oil and gas companies, Labuan based private equity and listed companies.
